I guess I'm a new member, I've belonged to the site for some time, but am just now getting active. I'm retired, 3 times, maybe this time will stick. I'm 68 yrs young and have been taking photographs longer than I like to think. I haven't been serious until the last few years. My son, Wade, is a member here who is quite active and he and I do a lot of shooting together. I have also recently joined the Hillsboro Visual Arts Assoc. They are a cooperative art group and run the Sequoia Gallery on 3rd St. in Hillsboro, OR. Helping in the gallery and being around artists of all types is a big creative boost. My wife, Carolyn, is one of the founding members of this group and has a studio there. My photo interests center around macro photography and lots of nature, mostly trying to shoot more intimate scens rather than grand landscapes. I have already found that this group is friendly and helpful and look forward to a long association with all of you.
