Missing files in LR3

Hey yall,I use lightroom 3 for all my photo editing/storage.I have had a few instances of question marks coming up on the files and a note saying something about file missing.I don't know what causes this to happen because it sometimes occurs when I feel I haven't done anything to cause it.I am not good with computers so I'm sure it's something that I am doing wrong orthat I have set up wrong.I would appreciate anyone that uses LR3 to comment on their experience/knowledge with this.Thanks,Eddie

If you delete the program outside LR or rename the file outside LR this will occur. Right click on the photo in question and click on "show in explorer" to see where LR expects to see the file. Something else to try: In Library mode, display the folder in question, right click on the folder, and click on Synchronize folder.

It can also happen if you move a file to another location, rename the folder it is in using another program (Windows, Photoshop, etc.) anything that messes up where LR expects the file to be and what it is called. You can manually locate the file from LR and correct it.
