I asked a question a week or so ago concerning the Hanhnemule and Breathing Color Easy Wrap systems. Part of the advice I received also centered around which canvas to use. Stephen Weaver and others recommended the Breathing Color Lyve Canvas, and Bret Edge suggested using Artistic Photo Canvas to print my images. Thanks also to everyone else who aided me with these and other suggestions!

1. I chose APC (Artistic Photo Canvas) to print my first image. I chose them not only based on Bret's suggestion, but also because they print on the Breathing Color Lyve canvas. I was very pleased with the result. They were very accessible and easy to talk to, answered all my questions, and the finished product looks great. They were VERY fast - I uploaded my file on Sunday and received my print the following Wednesday! Very pleased with them and highly recommend them.

2. I used the Breathing Color Easy Wrap system to make the gallery wrap. It was easy to do, only took me about 10-15 minutes, and that was just because it was my first effort. I'm quite pleased with the final outcome, and I think it saved me quite a bit of money over having someone like APC wrap it and ship it to me. I haven't really analyzed the financial savings yet, but will do so over the next day or so, but I think the savings will prove substantial.

Anyway, just wanted to thank those who helped me out with suggestions and share the results.

I'm glad you tried APC and are happy w/ the results, Bill. They're a great bunch of people and they do exceptional work. I only wish I could see your canvas with my own eyes as I know it's gotta be stunning!

Your welcome Bill. One thing I would like to add about the Easy Wrap system, the adhesive on the stretcher bars isn't quite strong enough to hold long term. What I've been doing is printing extra canvas on the edges and stapling the excess around the back. It fixes the issue and makes a more traditional looking stretched canvas. It is a really fantastic system, and made even better if you do this.

I just ran the costs comparing APC delivered Gallery Wrapped images versus unstretched canvas and me doing the stretching - I figured I would have a considerable savings doing it myself, but I was wrong. Estimating shipping costs from my last shipments, I estimate I would only save $1.92 by me doing the work. That's based on a 24x36 Gallery Wrap. Hardly worth it for that miniscule amount. APC really surprised me on that one, but a good surprise!
