Sandy Sea
I've been away for a while tending to life, but now hopefully I'm back to contribute to this community. Last weekend I went down to GSDNP - this shot is from High Dune where I was sheltering from a windstorm for nearly three hours waiting for this sunset. I've never been hit so hard by sand before.

Single exposure processed in LR3.

The light is just lovely Jon. Very soft with a lot of depth. Nice work.

'Soft' is the right word. Hard to envision the violent winds here in this pastel serenity..

Beautiful, love the subtleness here.

Great perspective on the dune field. Love the soft tone and textures. I can imagine what the wind was like and what it took to stick it out. Nice!

Nice balance and contrast plus wonderful pastel colors. Like it very much.

Thanks all. John, don't be fooled by this picture - the winds were quite nasty just up the ridge from where this was taken.

Very nice. Like all that sand in the foreground.
