Wish I had found this forum when my hubby and I started planning our driving trip to Alaska. We are departing in a week from Texas and plan to be traveling for three months. We only have reservations at a few place, so we are free to roam around see and shoot the beauty and grandeur of Alaska. We will be driving a Roadtrek 190 RV (built on a one ton Chevy truck chassie) which does not have a lot of clearance so we will have to at least have a smooth gravel road on which to travel. We will be camping.
We have reservations in Kenai mid June, Denali camping end of June first of July, and The Silver Salmon Creek Lodge about the 20th of July for three nights. I would like to have suggestions for landscapes, birds, & wildlife in these particular areas to photograph.
The remainder of the time we are free to roam. Any 'must see, must photograph' areas would be appreciated.

The list is endless, you could spend your entire trip on the Kenai and hardly scratch the surface. Best if you give us your "must see" list: glaciers, big mountains, ocean, specific wildlife... and we can help you find the best locations.
