Ditto what Howard said. Huge thanks to Bret for spearheading this thing and thanks to all the new friends I met for being so gracious. Here is my image contribution. Already clearing the calendar for the event next spring.
Wow...what a great view! Sure wish I had tagged along for that one.
It was a real pleasure meeting you and everyone else that Saturday! Your pulled pork and brisket sandwiches were lifesavers.

Mmmmmm...gorgeous light and a great composition Bill. I like your subtle treatment of the scene, well done!
Thanks to everyone who made it to the spring fling. I really enjoyed meeting you all and I'm already looking forward to next year's event. Bigger and better!

Bill - it was great to meet you! I really like the soft lighting in this image - very nice! I also appreciated the brisket and pulled pork - so much better than my little prepackaged tuna kit. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for the kind words about the image AND the food..I cook a lot and am always happy to share. Just want to reiterate what a good time I had on Saturday. Always good to put a face to a name and even better when there is a common interest to spark initial conversation. Special thanks to Bret for the processing mini-seminar. No matter how much I think I know (and it's usually very little) I can always pick up a nugget or two from someone else and this was no exception. I'm disappointed that the atmosphere didn't cooperate for night sky shooting but the flip side of that is the dust and haze in the air created some amazing soft light at sunset for images like the one above.
The interesting part of the gathering was the conversation before and after shooting. We all had words to share before starting to shoot and after wrapping up but when it was time to shoot we all had our own agenda and points of view. To me, that's a fascinating dynamic. And even though you guys kept getting in my way at Mesa Arch it was still a lot of fun.(just joking about the interference) Count me in for events like this in the future.
So...when is the next one? Crested Butte in July????
