On Saturday, an awesome bunch of RMNPers hiked up to Klondike Bluffs for sunset, despite the sand blasting conditions. I followed Bret to the sand dunes below the Marching Men and he kindly yielded the best bunch of flowers for me to shoot. I think he mistook me for a paying client. I'll probably get a bill in the mail. I got lucky with just one frame containing flowers mostly still, and not dancing in the wind.
I thoroughly enjoyed everyone's company - catching up with old friends and meeting new ones. So when do we start planning the Summer Fling?
Edit: Yikes! That's looking a little electric in my Chrome browser, but its good in my color managed Firefox. I'm still getting used to this wide gamut NEC monitor, so please tell me if it looks neon. That's NOT my intention.
Awfully kind of Mr. Edge to yield the floor to you, because this is really good!
The flowers anchor that foreground extremely well, and the lit buttes are just plain sweet.
Looks just fine using IE 9, as well.
It was a real pleasure meeting you in Moab, Scott. Give me a holler next time you're down this way.
Beautiful Image, count me in as one of those annoyed by chrome because of this issue, I love the browser but don't understand why they didn't use any color manging.
This is full of awesomeness, Scott. Love it! Looks perfect on my screen, too. Sadly, I haven't even downloaded my images from the weekend. It was great to see you again and I hope we're able to get together again this summer!
Excellent shot Scott. I really like the foreground you included in this shot. Good job in keeping the wind from blowing it around as well. Great to see you again!
I was with a group that stopped a little higher. Including foreground flowers in the composition never crossed my mind.
Who says landscape photographers don't need a clean ISO 64,000?

Looks fine over here too. You just need to get used to surfing from Safari or FF.
