Our resident pair of redtail hawks, whose nest is high in a pine across the street, were very upset and screaming at something all morning.
When I finally went out to see what was going on, this kite was presumably attempting to get the chicks from the redtail's nest.
Both parents were dive-bombing him repeatedly as he flew close to the nest.
He finally settled into this distant tree, while I grabbed my camera.
Haven't seen him since - and didn't see the "other" kite till I processed this. VERY VERY large crop - .
