Taken with an 8mm fisheye on the north side of one of the White Pockets areas. I was able to get out here myself with the help of topo maps and aerial photos. There were no roads on the topo map but I could see them on the aerials. I plotted GPS markings where the road should be and I was able to follow my waypoints just fine.

There was one particular area behind the first pillow rock butte that I was fascinated with. It is a deep depression about 20 feet deep carved out probably by the wind. There was about 3" of water at the bottom but with no outlet I couldn't figure out why it wasn't more full like some of the other puddles in the area. There was a beautiful stripe of red sandstone around the pool but even with my fisheye I didn't do justice to the scene so I won't post anything.

I'm off to Bosnia tomorrow morning. I've heard it's a photogenic country so I hope to have fun.
