Tears of sand flow down this remote canyon wall in NE Arizona.
Taken the day before the Moab get together. I was pretty scraped up and sun beaten that day in Moab, but hid it well (I think).
BTW, when the introductions were made in the library, do you know how close I came to saying "I'm Tom Till, and I'm here to learn how to use this damn editing software correctly" ? It was that close!!
This is fantastic John! Those streaks in the sandstone are so interesting, and the light looks great. Wait, does that mean you will soon start doing HDR images?
Two things: This photo is gorgeous, and I love the streaked sandstone wall. Very unique. Second, you made me laugh out loud with your comment about poor old Tom Till. Classic!

I love the expression "tears of sand." It's a very emotional way to describe this image! Not to mention I had a few of those myself after the blowing sand Saturday evening Beautifully presented!
Dial up the Structure and print this on metal and you might be onto something. Course, you could leave it just the way it is and it will only be one sweet image. I thought you held up rather well Saturday afternoon and while I can't relate to the scrapes and stuff I swear my glasses are matte finish now from the sandblasting all weekend.
Good to meet you John and hope to see you again soon.
Beautiful contrast and color, here. And the flowing sand gives me a sense of the moment instead of the usual feeling of timelessness I get from other slot canyon images. Like it a lot!
John, the comp, colors and tones in this are simply off the charts for my taste. I LVOE this kind of stuff. The lines send this way over the top! Great work!
Welll named and excellent composition, love it. One of the most compelling slot canyon shots I've seen!

Wow! Your work absolutely humbles me. This image puts me in mind of a Native wall marking, a message to us from the past. It is gorgeous. It was a real thrill to meet you in Moab, John. At 69, I may be a bit old to have heroes but you certainly fall into that category for me. Your thoughtful comments on the work of all the RMNP contributors is just awesome. When I get an "attaboy" from you I call the wife in to see it. Thanks for your encouragement. Thanks for your enormous talent. Thanks for going to Moab. Meeting you alone would have made the trip worthwhile.

Great to meet you last Saturday!
So, are you going to post a Tom Till interpretation ?
