Took my girlfriend to the Barn Owl Centre on Friday to meet Leighton and I want to take the opportunity to say a big thanks to Vince. The work that goes on at this centre is fantastic and I'd urge anyone to support the work they do. Vince was very helpful with photographic advice and has even inspired me to become a paid up member of NPN.
The perch he is on does look a little small and he does look a little awkward. The BG does take your eye away especially the light area at the top. It may have been better as well if the head was up and to one side or looking straight at you, as is, it gets a bit lost in the body.
Other than that it's well exposed with good feather detail.
Sorry to be a bit negative but these are just my thoughts on the image.
