Coyote eyes
You may think that all I saw on my recent trip to Yellowstone was carnivores chewing on carcasses, though that was not the case. Still, I have to post this shot of a coyote feeding on a bison calf carcass along the Firehole River. I like the coyote's eyes here. Hope it's not too bloody for everyone.

Very cool in a gnarly, primal way. One of the awesome-est coyote pics I've ever seen!

Great image Randall, the blood on the face and those incredible eyes really make the shot.

The coyote sure has an atypical silver-grey coat

Boy, primal is the right word. This ain't no suburban coyote, and that's why I like this one a lot.
Outstanding catch, Randall!

Very intense! Like the eye contact and the little bit of blood on the snow.

No complaints about your carnivore images from me! This is intense and evocative, and the eyes are both captivating and unnerving. Another great capture!
