Nature moments

From the "About" page:

The NPN website is intended to serve as an online resource for nature photographers of all skill levels, from beginner to professional. Our focus is on the art and technique of nature, wildlife and landscape photography.

I'm thinking the answer to my question is no, but I'm going to ask just in case. Would there be any place at NPN for images of nature moments people like to share that don't meet the cut for art and technique, whatever that cut is for each of us at any given time, but are still very cool because of what is portrayed? I know people already post them. I do, too, but I've noticed that with a few exceptions (bobcats in the desert being one) people rarely respond. I'm wondering whether if there was a specific place for them more people might post more, to the benefit of many of us who love to see nature moments images. It could maybe be made for members only so as to not cut down on the reputation of NPN quality.

If you have no idea what I'm talking about, let me know and I'll try to clarify. Thanks.

Barbara, I think these types of images are already being posted in the Bird, Flora, Landscape and Wildlife Forums as well as some of the Regional Forums. Are you saying you would like a separate forum for just these images? If so, I'm not sure that having a separate forum would garner any more attention than where they are currently being posted.

Thanks, Carol. Yes, I do realize they're being posted, and I thought that having a separate forum might make more people feel comfortable posting them and be a specific "fun" place to go to see more of them all in one spot.

I guess I don't follow...I think every shot in every gallery is already a "moment".

Thanks, Dan. :) :) Yes, they are, but for birds and animals especially there are lots of shots that are fun or interesting but that we wouldn't normally post because of actual lack of quality -- real lack of sharpness, etc. I don't mean shots that people make different judgments about their quality. A bunch of people will see lots more fun things happening than any one person, and that's what I had in mind. I'd love to see more of what all of you see -- it's like the outtakes. You know how the outtakes are usually really funny? That's what I mean, a place to post the outtakes.

But if posting them in the regular forums works for everybody, that's totally fine, I just would love it if more people would post more outtakes.

I think a gallery like that would be enjoyable. I think many photographers here don't post some very nice images, because of some small technical imperfection. It could be lack of sharpness, a busy bg, or many other things. I like your idea, Barbara, of funny outtakes, and I think the gallery could also include any picture that's interesting or cute or beautiful or meaningful, etc.
