My wife and her running buddies do a weekly early am workout at Red Rocks and I decided to take my camera today... I always do my own thing and thought there may be some cool low clouds or something.
I've photographed at RR many times and never saw technicolors like today. Maybe it was a Sulawesi coffee-induced flashback, but then the sensor wouldn't lie, would it? The other thing that was happening was running water. Usually, you see the varnish, similar to Utah canyon walls, but rarely is water running down the walls when it's not raining. I made a number of images and liked this simple spillway photo the best.
I like it very much, but would suggest that the color cast makes it look like your white balance was set on tungsten. I'd warm it up so the rocks aren't quite so cyan.
Every once in a while I get a file like this where I wonder if my camera's on drugs. Pretty cool, though, it's always a pleasure to see things that are visible to our equipment but not our eyes.
#1 does look too cyan from a "natural" point of view, but that's what gives it its funky psychedelic pop. So I like the original the best! Far out, man...

That's a very interesting image, I'm curious what your white balance was set to?
Cool, Dave, nice trippy shot!
