What's old is new again
OK, first I have to apologize for the earlier/first post of this image a few days ago. Looking back at it here and on my machine, I'm pretty embarrassed that it made it off my drive.

Taking a step back (and getting some sleep), I realized I had taken a wrong approach and accepted too many shortcuts. So I started over and went back to tried and true techniques that I'm more comfortable with.

So here is round two - Green River Overlook Sunrise.
It's a tad on the dark side on purpose. I wanted to present the early morning feeling.

Critique happily accepted!

Here is a slightly larger version

Gorgeous light and clouds, Kalin. My only nit is the cutoff canyon at the bottom left. I wish it had some more breathing room. Outside of that, you've got a wonderful photo of GRO here, which isn't an easy thing to do.

This is beautiful, Kalin! Processing looks spot on this time, and the sky and light on the cliffs are fantastic. I don't mind the dark landscape, but I might try giving it a very subtle dodge around the central canyon rims and the river bend. I don't mind Bret's cut-off canyon, it's kind of cool not to be sure how far that thing goes back.

This is much better, Kalin and thanks for the larger version. I'm with Bret about the bottom left, but I don't think it's a show stopper. It's just that I've seen this view so many times and that's what I've come to expect.

Very nice. Like the sliver of red on the horizon.

I guess I was framing on Ekker Butte vice the end of the canyon. Next time I shoot here I'll have be more aware of that. Thanks for the comments!

I think that somehere between the two (leaning more toward this version) would work best.
This could use a contrast boost at the least.
