In the early morning, the sun lights up the western canyon walls of Oak Creek Canyon to give some nice red light to reflect off the water's surface. I was at Slide Rock State Park near Sedona at sunrise and had the place to myself. In summer, the place is packed with swimmers sliding down a chute of water in the sandstone.
Here are four from yesterday morning. The first two are of some small ledge falls at the bottom of the slide area. Posted another shot in ESS/Landscape.

I love the first one most of all, but would love to see you click on that whitewater with a white balance eye dropper and turn the whole image into a warmer mood.
Paul, I only did a faster ss to freeze the flow, which I did not like.
Todd, after posting, I thought that it looked too cool still, but did not adjust it. Here is a little warmer WB. Looks like the far back canyon will need to be masked off though. Need to adjust WB to #2 also.
Your photos capture the wow of the water, the canyon and the colors. #1 and 3 get my vote. A little less of the big rock would make the reflections more prominent.
Looks like a fine place to hang during an Arizona summer, Doug. Hope you had fun in this place.
I'm not wild about the straight ahead composition of #1, especially in comparison to #2. I like that one quite a bit!
You might consider taking the grey eyedropper in Levels and clicking it on the grey boulder of #1 and the lighter (dry) boulder almost dead center in #2.
#3 would have been my favorite, but then I took a gander of the version you posted in the 'landscape' forum. Wow!

Thanks.
