Nik Software Giveaway for RMNP Spring Fling

I gave Bill Bean one of the free Nik Software plug-ins because he was gracious enough to save the day by allowing me to use his laptop for our presentation at the library. I still have one more plug-in to give away and I'd like to do something fun. Perhaps a contest?

Here's my suggestion: We hold a photo contest open to all those who made it to the Spring Fling. Images submitted must have been made in Moab during that weekend (honor system, folks). I've got a few additional prizes to throw in too, so we could have 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes.

We'll need the mods to volunteer to set up a contest page like they do for the fall colors contest. Maybe if we're REALLY nice to them...

Any thoughts?

I was going to make the same suggestion, but thought you had already given away all of the goodies.

If the moderators are too busy, we could just post all entries to one thread, and you can serve as judge to pick the winners.

Your idea is a great one Bret. I think Bill's idea for implementation would be the easiest. If I remember correctly, the annual contest is a bit of a pain to setup.

Like I was gonna say "No....Keep your filthy mitts off my laptop!" Always glad to help out when I can. Nik has been in touch and I will shortly have HDR Effects Pro so I can go into competition with that photographer we spent some time beating up on. I'm really looking forward to making my Vancouver Island rain forest shots have that neon glow!

I like the idea of keeping them all in one thread. Can we do that and make it a sticky? I'll email the mods to ask permission and provide the rules and prize information.

Sounds like a great idea to me... except I am out of the running for it. That's what I get for being on call that weekend. :mad: Sent me what you want on there and I will create the post. :biggrin:
