I haven't seen a post about it so far, so I thought I would start one and get feedback about what is happening with wildflowers. I know the high country is out of the question, but anyone know what is happening at lower altitudes? I was shooting wildflowers at this time last year in the different locations around Boulder and Denver, but I haven't heard anything. Please post reports of conditions here.
It's just a guess, Koveh, but I expect Dinosaur NM and environs are probably getting pretty good with all the moisture up north. There can be some really nice displays up there in these wet, late-spring years.
I'm sorry I missed you Paul! I was there for about 2 hours Saturday morning. And as you say, there are Gold Banner, and I saw a scattering of Wild Iris along the Chataqua Trail.
Not much going on down around Colorado Springs. The only Columbine I've seen are the ones in my wife's garden. I've been to several areas of the nearby foothills that I know are good for wildflowers, and haven't seen much of anything (it's been about a week since I was in the hills, but will be up this weekend).
It was quite dry all winter here, with some moisture just recently, so maybe things area little delayed.
I dropped into Chataqua this morning and things are 2-3 weeks behind last year, assuming they will even get close to last year. There was not a whole lot happening there yet. I will check back in 2 weeks and see if things have improved.

I headed out to Pawnee Buttes yesterday and there are a few nice patches of flowers, with some more on the way.
