I'll be passing through the Hanksville area on Monday, April 17 and will have a day in the area. Just wondering if anyone has been in the area very recently and noticed if the flowers are coming out yet (if at all this year).

I was just out there this past weekend, and the flowers situation did not look too good. I didn't really see anything blooming and everything looked pretty dry. the only flowers i saw the whole weekend were a couple weeds on the side of the road and a few flowers in the canyons in Capitol Reef.

Some patches of geranium and vetch along the road and the occasional paintbrush were all I could find last weekend. It's still early though. We did get some rain so there's a good chance things will start popping up in a couple of weeks.
