It was great to meet many of you in Moab for the Spring Fling! I have been to Moab many times but not since I took up photography a few years ago. It was fun to go back to some familiar places with a focus on photography. I will post some black and white images in a few days, too. Thank you for taking the time to look (please share any critiques, too).

What a great series, Sarah! 3 and 4 are really standouts for me. I totally get why you like 7, as I do too. I wonder if some selective dodging and burning to give it more of a sense of depth wouldn't help. This was a very productive trip for you.
This is one of the finest series I've seen from that wonderful gathering, Sarah.
I'm not overly enthused with #1, but that's only because what follows is so excellent.
I think that the addition of the moon in #2 makes that starscape sing. One of the few times that a moon has actually enhanced a night shot, IMO.
#3 is an excellent and unique composition from this oft photographed location. Hand that woman the first prize bundle for this one!
Love the muted colors and light, and the detail in #4. The sunset and composition of #6 makes it a definite addition to your portfolio. I like that one a lot!
You did justice to that icon (#6). Great lighting on the arch, and the blue skies are actually a nice complement to the scene.
There's actually a lot to like about #6. The almost sensuous sandstone curves, the Sphinx-like monolith and that sky all come together really nicely. A Levels adjustment does help as it's pretty underexposed (save for the small 'spike' in the red channel on the right of the histogram). A saturation boost all around helps it 'pop', too.
Sorry about being so wordy, but these really deserved it. Very fine work, Sarah!

What a great collection! I'm a huge fan of #3 and #4. You captured the mood and feel of sunrise out there perfectly. The pinks are wonderful. I also really like #7. I think if you dodged the front formation ever so slightly, it would offer the separation that would take it over the top. Very well done!
Nice collection, Sarah! I'm still kicking myself for not at least attempting a night shot. I agree with John, the moon makes it. Nice work. Personally, I kind of like the moodiness of #7.
All in all, a really nice series. Good to meet you and put a face to a name.
Thank you everyone for the comments and feedback. I really appreciate it. It is always interesting to see what others preferred compared to my personal preferences. I will also try to rework the last image using some of the suggestions you all provided. I'll also share some black and white images from this trip in a few days. Thanks!
