One of the things that I like best about photographing Pikes Peak above the clouds is that each instance is like a snowflake - no two instances are the same. These roiling clouds were different than anything I'd seen before, and being there for sunrise alpenglow made conditions even more spectacular.

Finally, here's a rock formation that looks like a turtle or sitting bird in Lost Creek Wilderness from yesterday. BTW, although there's not much in the way of quantity, there were lots of wildflower varieties all over the Hayman burn area and along the Goose Creek trail close to the trailhead.
P.S. The Pikes Peak/Rampart Range Road pics were taken Sunday morning.
The clouds and pines do it for me Todd!
Lots of mood showing!
BTW...I bought a book this last week on the 14rs and found nice Todd Caudle photos on the inside!
Congrats!!
Not a one of these I don't like, Todd. The first and the pano are epic, the receding trees and warm-ish light in #2 are really nice, and #4 stands out as well. And that's a very neat rock!
No, no, Morris...#'s 1, 3 & 4!
I love the color transitions in the clouds of #1. That is one spectacular photo in a real fine series!
Nobbody creates Rocky Mountain telephoto perspectives as well as you, Todd.
Steve, I shot those formations long before I ever met you, but you might just have the quintessential shot. I think of you every time I point a lens in that direction!

I'm with Don about #1 being a calendar cover. The clouds are incredible. But, 3 and 4 are my favorites for the combination of light and cloud. Nice work, Todd.
All excellent and the first is downright amazing. You can always tell when someone photographs places they are very familiar and have a personal connection with. Beautiful work.
What a great set all around, Todd. That first one is spectacular! On the pano, I like how the clouds are laying low but have that upward movement to them. Very nice.

Then the clouds moved down-valley, so I took this pano, along with lots of others.
