Yesterday I went to Fort Logan National Cemetery to shoot the sunrise. The fog and clouds came and went but I was able to capture some of the beauty of that place. Volunteers had placed flags at each headstone as they de every Memorial Day. It was a lovely and peaceful place to be.
In addition to the flags, many families had come with flower to decorate the graves of their loved ones. For me, it was a moving way to observe the day when we honor those who have served our country and particularly those who died. By 0730 the people started arriving so I left the place to them and went home to process.
Thanks for looking. Comments always appreciate.
It is a very sobering place, Rod. I did the same thing last year, and the effect stayed with me for a few days. Great series of shots here. All of them are fine tributes to those who put it all on the line for us.

Nice shots, Rod. I love the lines the markers make. One of my Grandfathers is buried at Fort Logan. As a veteran, these cemeteries always strike a chord. Thanks.
