Pink object in beak
I have no idea what the pink object is in the birds mouth, when I was taking the picture I did not see it, I was in a Kayak, very windy and had great difficulty trying stay still. When I got home and zoomed in I was horrified, I can not imagine what it is, the bird ran around taking care of two baby killdeers, it just sickens me that people throw trash everywhere. This just makes me sick. I am going to try and Kayak out there over the weekend to see if I can see the bird again. :frown:
If this is not where this should be posted could you please move it.

Sad to see, looks like a bubble wand.

Can you please post an enlarged area? I can't tell what it is - but surely it is not normal food!
Sadly, it could easily be mistaken (by the bird) for a worm or other edible goodie. Is it stuck in or around the beak?

Looks like it may be a fishing lure ( jig head w/soft plastic bait). May be hooked in the mouth.
