Mt Evans
Charlie and I raced up to Mt. Evans after work tonight and hiked over to the Chicago lakes side of the North east ridge. Didn't quite get the colorful sunset clouds I was hoping for above the mountain so this one is from a little while before sunset. They said that road to the top might be open tomorrow if the weather holds tonight. One day off!!!

Very unique view of Mount Evans. Like the warm tones in the foreground and moody skies overhead.

Russ, the image still has some good light to, I think it works.
I have a shot from sunrise from almost the same location but a little higher about five years ago with no clouds, I think yours is better. If you didn't know the peak dead center is Spalding and the left peak is West Evans Summit.

Man, who needs killer sunset light when you've got this?! Awesome shot, Russ.

I like your comp here, Russ, really feels like I'm standing there on a steep slope. The light is definitely working to show off the scenery. The contrast of the sunbeam on the foreground with the grim lake basin makes for an exciting shot.

Russ I agree with all of the above. You nailed that baby.

An excellent composition, and well worth returning for optimum light.

I like the contrast of the warm and cool light in the image and the way the grass catches a bit of light. Looks like a cool location.

Nice work, one of my favorite areas close to Denver to visit.

That's just plain good! I like the warm/cold contrast in light and color. And a unique view of Evans for me. Well done!
