Pastel Layers
Since my work and life responsibilities of late have been taking a lot of my time, I haven't been out shooting much this year. However, I spent a little time going through some of my archives and found this one from 2008 that had never been processed before today. The morning light around Mount Evans created these pastel layers. What works and what doesn't work with this one?

I really enjoy the soft colors and the transitions. All I can recommend is possibly cropping a bit of the top to remove the brighter area in the top right and the bluer area in the top left

Me likey! There appears to be a couple dust bunnies on the front 2 mtn. layers on the left side. Very serene scene!

Ah! Amy, I thought I got them all. Thanks for pointing those two bunnies out.

David, thanks for the cropping idea. I'll play around with it and see if I like it.

I love this sort of soft pastel recession, which I rarely see from the West.
I completely agree with david's suggestion of about a half inch crop from the top. Beautiful work, Jon!

Here's the cropped version retaining the aspect ratio.

The second version is great! I love the gentle pastel colors and the layers of changing shades of blue!

The repost works better to my eye-nice job.

I kinda liked the original better, but it's a matter of personal taste. They are both quite nice!

I was going to suggest a crop off the top but I see others beat me to it! Beautiful shot. I can't recommend anything else. Very peaceful! :toast:

I like the crop for the prominence it gives the layers. Simple and beautiful.
