I don't think our great group of photographers here that shoot wildlife get enough credit for their amazing work. This month is dedicated to wildlife photography.
Perhaps my only wildlife image ever. They just walked into my field of view, and then turned around to pose. If they could've used the remote shutter release, I wouldn't have had anything to contribute to this one....

Since I have a total of four decent "wildlife" photos in my archive (a moth, a coyote, a moose, and this one), I decided to choose the weirdest and most fun one of the batch. On my trip to Death Valley last year, I spent way too much time watching the Salt Creek pupfish in their bizarre and aggressive mating ritual. A male would find a female, they would rub their tails together, and another male would approach to interrupt or join the process. This series of photos captures part of that process.

"Wild" shots, everyone My hubby always sees more wildlife than I do, so I usually have to settle for critters that are a little smaller. This of course is a collared lizard. I captured him on the Rustler's Loop trail near Fruita. He didn't seem to mind posing for me.

Forgive my ignorance Jim, but are we allowed to enter more than one? Hope so, because I can't decide. Here is one of my favorite Pika shots from Evans. BTW...Angela..the colors on that lizard are awesome!
Great work everyone! I'm no wildlife photographer, not even close, but I'll take a pot shot now and then. Here's one from just the other day, Elkscape in Idaho's Lost River Range. A larger version is probably helpful here.
