Hewett Lake (?) Falls
This is the little falls on the north side of Highway 14 just west of Lyle. I've always thought it was kind of cute, but have never had a lens that would reach it. The borrowed telephoto allowed me to snap a shot this last trip. While I like the image, I prefer the depth that a wide-angle seems to give to a waterfall (this seems a bit "flat").

Works for me... can you hike into this falls?

Nice image John. I like the curves of the multiple cascades.
I totally agree with you on the wide vs tele, especially for this type of scene. Also when you're further away moving around for a different perspective has less impact than being close and shooting wide angle, but I guess that's stating the obvious.

Jack, I think you'd have to cross the marsh/lake in between. I have no idea if it is deep or shallow.

Outstanding comp John, love the bit of lake included. For being green colorblind, I have to say "thank you" for quenching my thirst!

Just beautiful, John! Love the look of it with the tiered cascades. Nice work, as always.

The flat look of the image doesn't bother me at all. Nice job with the post processing. Everything appears very natural.
