Yankee Boy yesterday
Here's a photo I took of Yankee Boy Basin yesterday, from the summit of Potosi Peak.

Nothing special about this photo; I just thought you might be interested to see how much snow is up there still!

I don't know how you do these trips, Jack! I would drop dead in 1/4 mile before I even hit the snow! It nice to see so much snow pack!

Oh, Mommy! That for the whole adventure and the photos.

Damn dude, now you're snow climbing! You picked a good year to do Potosi. That's one hell of a mountain and may be my favorite one in that Yankee Boy area. The view from Potosi connects to my soul. I'll need to climb a few others in there to make that claim.

Have you been up Mendota or Emma? I'm curios about that view. In addition to the killer view of the Sneffles massif, Ya get the St Sophia Ridge to make that one pop. I also heard that Stony Mountain may have the best view of all of em. It's a spicy class 3. Jack, maybe that's something I can poke you with for later this summer?

Thanks for sharing Jack. So your saying the wildflowers aren't blooming there yet?

Dude you have serious stones snowboarding that. I'm WAY to inexperienced and also chicken to even think of it. I got weird just looking at the shot of the couloir. Thanks for sharing your adventure.

That is an amazing amount of Snow! The Colorado River at the Colorado/Utah border gauge was running over 48,000cfs today. The record is around 57,000 cfs. I am betting we see a new record this year!
