What are the tweaks? I never go in the "front door" - even though my Mom always told me it was polite. But since now always use the garage door to enter, I'm not sure what the tweaks are. Could you summarize?

I think that clicking on the image should still lead you to the index page (or should I say, visitor center? ).
I Agree with Basil, I"m so used to just clicking on the image.

I to would click on the image ,but if you did not know to click there it was a little confusing to figure out how to get in to the site, so the changes are a lot clearer to a new person. Thanks Jim love the site update .
The links on top of the cover shot page are new, leading to the more popular areas of the site.
It was pointed out that the monthly articles were buried in a menu, so we now include a direct link straight from the "front door." We also updated the Instructional Articles page with an enhanced listing of the current articles at the top.
Since many surf in to view the superb nature photography, we have the new Top Nature Photos link that leads to the WP gallery. And for all of the "gear heads" that surf in we have the new Photo Gear Discussion link thats leads to the discussion forums.
Finally, we are now calling the "front page" the Visitor Center as that page is really geared for those surfing on to the NPN site from search engines (from where we get a substantial chunk of our traffic). This page will eventually be re-worked to include streaming content.
