As the sun has come out at last there has been a quick dash round to try and catch up with clients images. One job was to take some pictures of Newquay for an Estate Agent. As part of this they wanted some images of a local park, where I found this Wandering Whistling Duck (I think, ID help appreciated) with the Mallards on the Duck Pond. not what I expected to see. It is not ringed and can fly so is not captive but has to have been released or escaped, or it could have wandered a long way from South-East Asia  The park keeper says that it has been there for over 18 months and it seems quite at home taking bread with the Mallards and Gulls.

Hi John,

Can't help on the ID I'm afraid, but I like the image. If it's enjoying life with the mallards then best of luck to it!

Hi John

Agree with your ID - almost certainly an escape. Either way you have made a good job of taking it's picture!
