There's probably already a thread on this, so if someone could just post a link to it, that would be great.

My question is: when I want to upsize a file's resolution (i.e., from 240 to 300 ppi for a printer), what is the sequence I use for the choices in the Image Size box?

Is it: 1-change the resolution to 300 ppi; 2-Change width and height to whatever I want (with Scale Size, Constrain Proportions and Resample Image all checked); 3-Resample Image with Bicubic Smoother and click OK?

Thanks.

Hi Lance:

Your flow will work just fine. I don't know what printer you are going to, but if your image dimensions are large enough at 240 ppi, I doubt you'll see any difference between sending your image to the printer at 240 ppi and sending it at 300 ppi. My experience with printers is largely with Epson printers. Maybe you're printing it on something else, or sending it where the requirement is 300 ppi. If so, you should be fine with the flow you described.
