Hi,
I've noticed that when changing the the preview in "save for web and devices" from Monitor Color to Windows(No color Management)there seem to be a change in color. Which is the preferred setting, Monitor color or Windows(No color management). Thank you for your time
The 'preview' color will change. 'Preview' is the key word, here: It's just a preview if you select 'Convert to sRGB'. For preview, you should then select Windows (No color managment). This will give you an idea of how the converted image will look in a browser. Monitor color uses the monitor color profile used by your system. It will not be a good choice for preview because your monitor will be different than many, many others out there. Personally, I find that little box (Convert to sRGB) easy to miss, so I use the workflow below.
I always convert my images to sRGB in Photo Shop; Edit>Convert to Profile, prior to using Save for Web and Devices. When I open that dialog, I check the box, 'Embed Color Profile' and in the Preview drop down list I select 'Use Document Profile'. Doing this gives me good preview of what the image will look like in a browser.
sRGB is pretty much a standard for the Web, so embedding sRGB is a pretty safe bet. Although its gamut is narrower than (say) Adobe RGB, it works well on all the newer browsers and will display pretty nicely on a screen.
btw: I am using PSCS-5 64-bit and my choices for preview in Save for Web are a little different.
I hope this helps.

Thanks Preston, I do use sRGB for the web, I did notice last night after playing around with the preview setting that when I choose "Windows(no color management)" or Use Document Profile", there is no change at all. I'll be using one one these from now on."
Thank you very much for this information Preston. Since purchasing my latest Mac the image previews that I have posted have been way over saturated but the images themselves have looked correct. eg. Mount Geryon 06/15/11
