Ptarmigan
Photographed some ptarmigan on Mount Evans this morning. This pair always sticks together. I've noticed them before around the same area. Thanks for looking.

Dan, you are the Ptarmigan magnet! I don't know anyone that finds these guys even near as much as you...maybe they are pets??
I like both portraits, but the first one is definitely more attractive with the reds under the eyes.

Dan- like them both! The first one with the eye shadow is really cool!

Great capture. Thinking of going up next week. Where the goats out?

Great portraits, Dan. Love the first one with that red eye-shade. Those little guys are going to have to turn white after today, eh.

I've never seen better close ups of these birds before, Dan.
Simply outstanding portraits of a beautiful bird! 'Ptarmigan whisperer'?
