Can we get a wildflower updates thread started for this year?
Here is a quick one... Anne Rusk, JR Rusk, and I were up at Summit Lake (Mount Evans) on Sunday and the alpine wildflowers are starting to pop up. Anne found quite a few subjects for macro work and there were quite a few marsh marigolds that were blooming in patches. Most of the grasses are still brown, but the flowers are definitely getting started. The lake is about 70% thawed, as well. We also saw about 10 mountain goats, including three adorable babies.
Ooops, I didn't see this one this morning. Musta been before I was fully awake. Yeah its time for a wildflower sticky, things are starting to get going.
