Google Chrome censorship?
The post by Joe Abounad made me want to see his photo in Google Chrome, but when I opened up Google Chrome I was unable to see his post on the forum list. I had to open the browser a few times to confirm this. For some reason the Google Chrome browser does not allow me to see all of the postings in the forum.
Is this some form of censorship? Here are the screen shots as taken from Internet Explorer and Google Chrome. You can see that the post is missing in Google Chrome, but not IE.

Anybody know why?

Richard,

Took me a minute, but there's a straight answer for this and it's certainly not censorship!

Re-check your browsers closely. IE you're logged in to NPN. Chrome, you're logged out. The digital forum is a members only forum, therefore you won't see Joe's post unless you're logged in.

I should be a detective....

I knew immediately it was that you weren't logged in and Lon of course spells this out. I use Chrome all the time as I prefer it over the others - BUT the colors aren't right on it. I think it has something to do with proper color profiling vs. speed. So if I need to appreciate the colors I'll load it in safari or IE

Lon and Luke, Ah ha…. You are spot on about not being logged in. Gosh since it’s been so long since I’ve had to actually log in I did not stop to think about this.

Obviously the censorship question was just a funny, but still I was stumped.

Actually, it's because Chrome isn't color managed Luke. I wouldn't expect the colors to be correct. IE is not quite properly color managed either; Although depending on your monitor and profile it could look good. Right now, the best color managed browsers are Firefox and Safari, and they both only support version 2 ICC profiles. (Firefox 3.0.x supports versions 2 and 4, but a change to the color management engine in Firefox 4.x reverted back to version 2 only.)

Sandy,

Thanks for doing the search. The information is interesting and makes me wonder why so many folks are having trouble with Google Chrome.

David,

I meant color managed not color profiling - thanks for clearing that up and giving the extra info. Stupid Google Chrome. . . it's only pitful (in my eyes)
