My Nikon D300s displays an FEE error when a Sigma 300 mm 2.8 is attached to it. The solution for this error is locking the apature ring at F22, but unfortunatley this doesn't work anymore. When I attach the lens to my D80, there is no problem at all. I already checked if something is broken but everything seems fine. Can anyone please help me solving this problem?

Hi first clean the camera and lens mounts, if that dose not work then when mounting the lens on the camera rotate it past the locking pin you hold in when mounting a lens then turn it back so it locks as normal.

My D300 dose it some times with my 200-400 Nikkor + 1.7 tc.

Phil.

Occasionally you can get contact problems with the mounting system, as Philip noted might be worth cleaning the balls and contacts on the mount. Does it change if you gently twist the lens on its axis? That might indicate contact issues.
