Hangin' by a Thread
Shot a few pics of climbers in Garden of the Gods a few nights ago. Seems like the in thing to do lately is climb around sunset and downclimb with headlamps. Weird.

Which one do you prefer, this one?

Or this one?

I like the second one; something about him silhouetted right in the crevasse looks better.

Second one for that same reason. Also, the 'crack' at the bottom is closed and the wider view shows the monolith off better.

Both are cool but I'm partial to the 1st one.

Love the silhouette and strong blues, Todd. I like the second one for the reasons articulated by Jason and John. Cool shot!

2nd? Some cool pano crops are lurking in these.

The 2nd. Both are very cool though.

Both are great, but I like the 1st one best. The 2nd one has a rope/head interaction going on and I like the body language better in #1 as well because it is more dynamic looking, where the posture in the 2nd is lethargic in comparison.

Great shot Todd. Love em both. I would think a great shot for advertising because of all the negative space for type. Nice work.

These are both great, but agree with Don. I like the 1st better. The body positioning (especially the feet) in 1 do it for me.

Like the second one as well. Very dramatic and great color.

I'll take #1, I like how it shows the height the climber is above the ground.
Both are way cool images!!

#1--The climber looks asleep in #2 (not a good thing while climbing...). Cool silhouette!

Tough choice, but I'll take #2. Great silhouette.

Nice! I love the strong graphic nature of these silhouettes. I can't decide which one is better.

I think number 1. It shows greater height and more danger.

Nice work here, Todd. I'm a fan of #1 because it feels more dynamic and emphasizes the climber better. Both are great shots though. Make some posters!

I like the first one best because it shows the climbers work in progress and a feeling of anticipation. The second gives me more of a feeling of completion and finality.

Both are sweet Todd, but IU like the position of the climber in the first one better...it just feels moire balanced to me for some reason.

As presented, I like the first. He has more room to rappel downward in the image. I am inclined to look at only the bottom half of the second, so possibly crop off the top half of it?

I like #2. That's a cool shot Todd.

Yep, #2. I like the symmetry TC.
