Colorado National Monument Sunrise
I had to work in Grand Junction this week so I headed up into the Monument a couple of mornings for sunrise. An amazingly hot week, standing there waiting for sunrise in short sleeves. Comments?

Love the light on those formations Russ. Great image with lots of things to look at.

Great Shot Russ! This time of year one must get up very early for sunrise. Well done!

Good work Russ. Like the play of light and its effect on colors.

Great shot. The light was captured well. One last comment, bring long sleeves, like a fleece jacket. Warm, but light.

Great light!
HDR (?) was done extremely well here, too. No nits whatsoever.

Overall, I really like this, Russ. Hard to beat that light. On my calibrated monitor though, there is a slight greenish tint to the center rocks.

Thanks everybody for the comments.

Paul, thanks for the heads up. I really need to get these monitors calibrated. I do see a little bit of green like you said. I have been experimenting with the ProPhoto color space and then saving jpg's using "save for WEB" and converting to SRGB. Todd noticed a weird look to something I posted so I started experimenting.

Wonderful shot.

Usually I wouldn't place a tree in the center of an image but this works great. Great use of light and color.

Looks a touch uneven through the middle, but great light and color and the comp is excellent.
