Nisqually Feeder
This little stream feeds the Nisqually River just inside MRNP and runs alongside westside road for a few miles before meandering off into the brush. Very easy access if you don't mind some minor bushwacking. At one point it separates into a number of braids while flowing through a marshy area but the stream bottom is suprisingly solid, so wading can give you access to quite a few small cascades and the wilflowers are still fresh along the edges. I might revisit the spot this weekend and explore it further. There was also a prolific hatch of large Mayflies occuring when I shot this scene around 8 pm. I hope to get some interesting macros next time if the hatch is still going on.

Anyway, this is pretty much the entire frame, a very slight crop just to clean up the edges a little. I was framing a tighter shot that I think might have been a better comp when the battery went down. No problem, throw in the spare.......ARGH!!...It's still in the charger back at the vehicle...Oh well, hard to get upset when you're surrounded by beauty.

A view looking up the flow you see entering from the left is posted below.

Excuse the long-winded narrative, thanks for looking.

I really like this second photo Bruce. That's a simple cascade, but the mix of different greens is superb. The little flower highlights add nicely.

I prefer the 2nd image as well Bruce. I like the mix of water, greens and flowers. My only nit is the slightly yellowish cast in the water. I'm not sure if you are a photoshop user, but if you are, you can easily fix this using the selective color layer and adjusting the yellows slider in the whites.
