Be gentle with me
I spent 3 days up in Lancashire late in March. I was after hares boxing and although I saw lots of it, it was always at the other end of the field... a very very large field! This was the highlight photographically speaking. This chappy came running all the way from the far corner to within a few metres of the car. Didn't hang around long though. A couple of clicks from the shutter and he was off again. Image has been cropped about 15% all round.
Camera Model: Canon EOS-1Ds Mark II
Shutter speed: 1/800 sec
Aperture: 5.6
Exposure mode: Av
Exposure compensation: +1/3
Metering mode: Evaluative
ISO: 400
Lens: 300mm + 1.4x
A very nice image to open your account with. I've been trying to get Images of Hares for about four weeks now, they are proving very elusive!!.
I had a good look around your website you have some really good images on there, also your biog sounds very familiar, I'm still waiting for my "break" though

Rob

Thanks all for the rapid responses... don't you have jobs or anything!?
Image was cropped for a competition, so original is nice and spacious. Thanks for the feedback though. Nice to know it was well received.

Hi Elliott
Welcome to the forum, a very impressive first post look forward to seeing more.
Hello Elliott,
If, like me, you lurked for a while before deciding to jump in, you probably already know that this a great place to pick up pointers.
Your opening remark is not unlike my own when I joined but, judging by your first post, you have no worries. Some will have different views and others will agree with your own assessment of your pictures. One thing is certain, the comments are always fair and constructive.
Very nice shot of a lovely subject.
Cheers,
Roy

I like it - but also think it's a bit close on the left. Love the background.

Great shot, the blue of the frost shows off the yellow of the Hare marvellously. Looking forward to more.
