Flatirons this morning
After we had all of that weather move in last night, I decided to get up early and head over to Boulder and see if any of the clouds would stick around. Luckily there were a few hanging around, but it looked like I might get blocked out to the east. The clouds parted rather unexpectedly and I had some nice color just before dawn. I decided to post one a little later, because I happen to like the light on the flatirons
I haven't had much of a chance to shoot this year, so mostly I was just happy to have a couple hours to knock off the rust.

Nice morning light, Paul.

I've headed over there umpteen times with pre-sunrise clouds over the flatirons. Somehow they magically evaporate before the sun can light tem up! :jump:

Here's one from earlier, of course I was in the wrong place because I thought the clouds would bock the early light.

I can't believe its been almost a year since I took a "real" landscape image. Hopefully I can make up for it this summer.

I like the last best. The cloud on the right nicely balances the Flatirons.

Nice series. Like your composition and use of the light.

Was up there a few days ago and chose to make photos of the heavy and fast moving flow of water in the falls and down the creek.

I feels ya on the lack of opportunity to shoot anything. All of these are sweet shots, Paul.
