Blaine Basin
I had time for a quick overnighter in the Juans, and my choice was between Thu morn (mostly cloudy/showers) or this morning (totally clear). So i gambled with the cloudy skies and hoped for the best, but of course the breaks didnt come until after the magic hour was gone
But i had fun exploring the basin--a cool little place. Here's the lovely sunrise conditions

wow, just noticed lots of dust specks...bummer!
Anyhow,
3) Sneffels north face was quite imposing! I noticed ski turns coming down the snake couloir (Jack?)

I really like #7.

Looks like a polarizer might have been useful to tame the reflections.
I frequently am to lazy to pull one out and then kick myself afterwards.

#2 is my favorite of your landscape series. Love how the creek snakes away throughout the image!
That foliage just doesn't work well in b&w.
Not bad at all for a 'quick overnighter'!

Nice work making the best of things, Stan. You can't do much about the clouds -- looks like a great place to explore. You should file that spot away for future outings. I agree w/ John, #2 is pretty nice.

Most of these are phenomenal, Stan! I'll be hitting you up next time Sneffels is scheduled to appear in the Colorado Fourteeners calendar.
