Ponytail Falls
This is a pretty straightforward shot of Ponytail, but I wanted one for my website. How do the greens look to you? Did I let them get away from me?

Looks great to me! The pink flowers against the green are sweet.
Is this a recent shot? I'll be back in the portland area for a few days next week, and - if there is still lots of water - will take a day to go around the waterfall areas.

The greens are looking good to me. I really like the pink colored flowers in the foreground and the comp is solid. My only nit is the plant leaf in the foreground which blocks part of the stream. I wish the leaf was a bit lower, but it doesn't appear there was much you could do to avoid it. Overall great image.

Its pretty close. It does have the velvia look which I like! Nice foreground flowers. I know Marc did that approach a couple years ago and always thought it was a great idea. :toast:

Thanks all! I too wish the vegetation hadn't been so high; I need to return a little earlier in a future year.

Sandy, this was from Memorial Day Weekend, but I suspect the water will still be flowing well. While the rain has tapered, we've had some nice warm spring days that should be melting the snow a bit.

Hi, John– I guess I'm in the minority. The greens, especially in the fg look a little overcooked to me. Could be my monitor... Great scene; I really like it, and the bleeding heart in the fg against the green looks super.

A nice scene but I gotta agree with Catherine about the fg greens. Not badly oversaturated...just a little and just the fg.
