With sadness but understanding, I’d like to share with you that Erik has decided to “retire” from the moderator role at PNWNP. For six years, he has—sometimes single-handedly—kept our forum alive and well. Some of you may not know, but he did this while facing some very serious health concerns. Keeping the moderator responsibility through these past years is a testament to his dedication and perseverance. But now, it’s time for him to take a break, to sit back, and to enjoy the personal pursuits of photography and other interests. I know you share my feelings and heart-felt appreciation for the years of support to the forum and members. Erik, thank you for all you’ve done for us; we look forward to your continued participation as a colleague of PNWNP.

It's hard to thank you enough Erik. Six years is a long time to volunteer to help shepherd this group  . I don't know the details of the health concerns, but I hope they are in the rear-view mirror. Hopefully we'll still see your great photos here.

Thanks folks for the kind words. I should have done this a couple of years ago but it was hard for me to give up the reings. A lot of my physcial and mental energy has gone to fighting the big "C" and that doesn't leave much energy for other things.. I am happy to say that next May if I'm all clear I will be considered cured. I've enjoyed my run as moderator but new blood needs to be injected into the forum. I think John is the perfect person to do that so I wish him all the luck. So I guess it's time to change my avitar from Jack Webb.

Erik,
Wishing you the very best for continued improvement with your health. I also look forward to an occasional shoot with you and Ned, perhaps when the Dahlias show themselves. Thank you for the time and expertise you added to the forum!

Erik, as always, I'll be sending positive thoughts and prayers your way as you head toward next May. You've done a great job as moderator, and of course I've always enjoyed the photography you've shared over the past years. I look forward to seeing more of your art in the future! Cheers! :toast:

Erik, I thought I'd commented before but apparently not. Thank you for all your work and efforts for this community. It takes a ton of time and effort and know it was appreciated.
