I took this shot near Arapahoe and I-25 in Centennial this afternoon, looking north into the nasty storm that passed through the city.
I was a bit worried at first that I was ringside for a tornado, what with the odd cloud colors and the vertical column of cloud (not to mention the wind was headed that direction, which is very unusual...)
Must be my lucky week for weather watching. I was coming up over the Central City Parkway through today's front line of storms and saw a small cold core funnel cloud forming somewhere near Black Hawk. It lasted about 4 minutes and disappeared just like the tornadoes in Twister - a swirl of clouds and then nothing. Don't think it touched down, but still - first time I've ever seen something I can confirm as a funnel cloud, and it's within a few miles of my home and the last place I ever thought to see one.

Anyone else have pictures from today's storm?
