What could be more fun than playing putt-putt golf with Natalie Gulbis??
How about a day at GSD, complete with crazy monsoon conditions and stunning scenery, capped off at midnight back in Pueblo with a celebatory Guinness, margarita, and hot chicken wings!
All I can say is, Thank God For Tear Ducts!

i apologize for a few missed dust specks--believe me there were a lot more
The image you posted here is quite unique, however, "Interesting Afternoon Shadows" is a tutorial on how sometimes compelling photographs can be taken at any time of day. Sweeeeeet!

I can't pick one favorite out of a collection like that...they're ALL so flippin' spectacular You still own that place!
Tough to narrow down to just a few out of this group, Stan. I like each one of them. I'd say Monsoon Dunes, Monsoonal Madness, Dunes Abstract and the one you've posted here might be my favorites.
Stan, your landscape work in general is excellent...your sand dune landscape work is terrific....your sand dune abstract work is OFF THE CHARTS! Love the stuff!
I'm with Todd....not sure I can pick 3-4.

Hi Stan - my favorites are Big Skies (love the drama - really beautiful), Dunes Abstract (perfect interplay of the curves), and Monsoonal Madness (the light is really great, maybe cropped to 6x12 - like it either way). Great collection - so much diversity.

Monsoon Dunes, Dunes Abstract, Sand storm 1 and then Before the Storm.
I like the greater amount of foreground texture shown in Near & Far 1, but prefer the brightness, contrast and color seen in Dunes Abstract more.
This is a impressive set from your outing!
Ohhh, Mommie! The abtracts are your usual phenomenal takes from there. I am always partial to those as I am incapable of even seeing those. And then, yes, Monsoon Dunes for the landscapes is extraordianary. Top shelf, STan!

Aw hell, they're ALL great!
I hope your gear survived the sandblastng!
Dunes Abstract, Back Lit, Before the Storm, Monsoon Dunes. Looks windy. I'm just about over with the dunes...That wind just beats me down...Nice job hanging in there to capture these shots Stan.

That was a real fun read punctuated by some excellent photography. Tough choices, but I'm going with 'Monsoon Dunes' and the two abstracts ('Near & Far 1 & Dune Abstract').
I'm amazed -- you have places that are open at midnight? And with Guinness, no less? Wow.
Joking aside, that's an impressive collection. You just can't beat storm light. (Unless you're John Sexton or Charlie Cramer, I guess, but that's another thread entirely...) My votes would go for "Monsoon Dunes" and "SandStorm 1". I'm on a kick of really liking grand scenics right now, or I'd add one of the abstracts as well.
A difficult task you've given us, Stan. I just love the blowing sand shots. They really make the dunes come alive. The two images with the sliver of sun sneaking through are also really special. There's not a bad one in this bunch. Good luck choosing.
