Honey Bee
I shot this Honey Bee on a Milkweed plant with my macro lens over the weekend. It's been difficult to get in any nature photography with the soccer season underway. My wife manages a team and because of conflicting Wisconsin and Minnesota rules the team has had to play 16 games in the last month. Since I'm the "volunteer" photographer for the team my nature photography has largely been confined to the back yard.

Phil,

I like this one. Great DOF on the bee and smooth background.

Very nice, Phil! You've obviously done a great job with the bee, but the "supporting characters" of the rest of the image really makes the image - great job!

Tim!

Stunning image Phil. I really like the contrast of the reds and the greens of the milkweed and the bridging of them with the colors of the bee. It's always interesting to see what one can find in their own backyard when one looks close enough.

Fabulous shot of this bee. Excellent detail and colors. :toast: May also look good rotated 90 degrees counterclockwise.
