I finally made it out for a dedicated day of shooting last Sunday. I processed this one a couple different ways. This copy has been warmed up a bit.

Green Fork Creek Dumps into the East Fork Lewis River near the Yacolt Burn area, Gifford Pinchot NF.

18-55 kit lens @ 55mm

ISO 100
(sorry for the file size, but reducing it took away too much detail)

Curtis,
Its good to see a post from you. It's been a while. This shot has nice compositon and the exposure looks right on. If I would cahange anything, it would be to clone the small sticks in the water and cool oof the white balance just a little. IMHO of course.

I like the realistic view of a PNW creek. The image has a lot to look at and I find many places to explore.

I like how Jim puts it - "A realistic veiw of a PNW creek". Tough to find a composition that really flows here, it's so chaotic! I think this has just enough interesting subject matter while still displaying the sense of the complexities inherent of the NW rainforests.

Wow, an image full of logs and the Lundh Bros. actually like it... I just dont' know how to react to that!

Erik, I agree about the water. I've been working on that but so far not liking my results. I'll probably clone out a few twigs as well.

Thanks for the feedback guys!

Now that I look at this image again, I really love the square rock at llc, what a dramatic shape. Some lucky people live in places with lots of metamorphosed rock that breaks into these shapes, but it's rare here....excellent image!
