Spotted Towhee
I've been needing to go back and work through some of my really old photos, back to the digiscoping days, and have a few bird shots to post. When I started out I was using a Nikon 880, so considering resolution and noise (forgive the fringing and chromatic aberration) they make excellent postage stamps. Nevertheless, it was a lot of fun back then. Down the road I hope to get a nice telephoto and get back to the birds, but for now I'll have to be satisfied playing with my old stuff and drooling over the great shots the rest of you keep posting.

You need to turn the red eye reduction on ;) I dont think I have ever seen one of these, pretty darn good for the camera used.

I'm amazed you were able to capture this through a digiscope. Looks pretty darn good to me.

John, this is a terrific shot and quite sharp, especially for the tools you were using at the time. Nice to see this.
