If you have a mac and are considering updating to Lion this month, please read this release from NIK software.

Similarly for owners of Xrite calibration devices: http://www.xritephoto.com/custom_page.aspx?PageID=264

Thanks Carol, sounds like if you have the plug ins already installed you should be OK. Does anyone know if there are issues with Topaz plug ins?

Mac OS 10.7 (Lion) is going to break a lot of things because it will not support Rosetta, the G4/G5 emulator for software not written for the Intel processors. It's an aggravation.

Correct. I've been testing Lion. No Rosetta. The real gotcha is going to be drivers for lots of peripherals. For example, the Nikon scanners all use Rosetta-based drivers. I'm wondering whether there will be updates from Nikon to finally produce Intel-based OS X drivers. They have maintained their NX software on OS X. I wish they would maintain their drivers. I know most people are shooting digital, but there are many who still have film and slides to scan from archives.

I installed Lion today. All of my plug-ins are working (NIK, Topaz, OnOne). I use CS5 and LR3 and have an Epson Stylus Pro 7900 Printer and I am having no issues. I do like the Mission Control Feature and the resume apps after restarting. The download and install took 1 hour exactly. For the most part it still has the look and feel of Snow Leopard.
